REX (RIAS Extensions) is a financial, management system that allows departmental users to reconcile and report on account activities.  The system provides end users such as department chairs and professors with timely and accurate balances in their accounts.  The system is updated daily with transaction data from the general ledger, which ensures that the most current information is reflected in all accounts.  The reconciliation process and review of activity within REX are easy to learn and manage.  The system is efficient and can save a great deal of time when compared to maintaining shadow systems in Excel.  But, as REX is a supplemental system, not all SAS departments have chosen to use it.


Requesting Access to REX

  1. Access to RIAS is required
  2. Complete the REX Departmental Access Request form
  3. Submit form to the SAS Dean's Office for review and approval
