Vivian is the Human Resources Manager for the School of Arts and Sciences, Office of Human Resources supporting all departments in the Division of Humanities, the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and the Dean’s Office. Vivian manages all staff related matters for Class 1 staff both non-aligned and staff covered by the URA-AFT collective bargaining agreement. She provides guidance for recruitment, hiring, and compliance of staff contractual agreements and policies. She also leads the review and development process for onboarding, and orientation for all new Class 1, Class 3, and Class 4 staff.
Vivian joined Rutgers University in 2013 as Principal Secretary for the Spanish and Portuguese Department and accepted the role of Department Administrator in 2018. In February 2023, she was promoted to the SAS Human Resources Manager position. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a Master’s degree from the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University.
