Take Your Child to Work Day - April 25, 2019

On Thursday, April 25, 2019, the School of Arts and Sciences will host our second annual Take Your Child to Work Day, and as such, we invite our employees to attend along with their children. A group consisting of mostly SAS employees collaborated to develop a wider selection of activities for the children to participate in this year. The children will be participating in interactive learning activities, which will guide and develop them toward a future where they can participate fully in work, family, and community. Please note, we will only be able to accommodate a specific number of participants at some of the events, therefore it is critical that you register in a timely nature. Children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will be eligible to participate. Employees must get their supervisors approval prior to bringing in their child/children.

Please note, employees are required to accompany their child(ren) for the entirety of the day, inclusive of lunch and to all activities/sessions. Further, employees must participate in at least two (2) of the scheduled sessions. Please see the attachment for the schedule of events for the 2019 SAS Take Your Child to Work Day. During the non-event time, the employee and their child/children are expected to be in the employee's work area; therefore, the Supervisors need to ensure the work space is appropriate. The supervisor’s approval must be reflected by his/her signature on the attached consent form.

Registration is now open. A consent form must be completed and uploaded to the registration system for each child that will participate by Friday, April 12, 2019. Please note, you will not be able to register for limited capacity events if the consent form is not uploaded to the system.
